AN Irvine care group have been given a glowing report by inspectors.

For the second year running, Ayrshire Quality Care & Support have been awarded an overall ‘very good’ rating by the Care Inspectorate.

The Kyle Road-based service have made significant improvements in the last three years.

In May 2013, the company was given an ‘adequate’ rating after only recently forming.

But inspectors were left impressed by the quality of support on offer from Ayrshire Quality Care & Support.

Quality of care and support, quality of staffing and quality of management were all rated ‘very good’ in the most recent report published last week.

This followed an unannounced inspection back in June.

The report states: “The service provides a very good standard of continuity within the support packages.

“We heard many positive comments from the support staff we spoke to and from written responses in their returned questionnaires about how well supported they felt within the service.

“The feedback from service users and relatives was very positives and we received many complimentary and appreciative statements about the quality of the support staff and good standard of communication with the management of the service.”

It continued: “The service should continue to develop the risk assessment information to fully reflect the good standard of work the management and senior staff have implemented in terms of responses and actions taken to issues of identified risk.

“Ayrshire Quality Care and Support service continue to develop and grow whilst delivering a very good standard of service to the people they support.”
